Delish.com’s Best Sugar Cookie Martinis

Manageability – Baking cookies for a Martini?

It’s Drinkmas time. I don’t want to spend 80 minutes mixing powder and syrup together during my holiday, I’m ready to get holly, jolly, blitzed. So while Delish.com’s Best Sugar Cookie Martinis are adorable and pretty tasty and full of holiday cheer, I know I’ve said this before – too much baking and not enough drinking. Does that make me a drunk Ebenezer?

Baking really is the hardest part about these, so if you are ok with making a few cookies before you drink you’ll be fine. Also, there’s a lot of milk in these, so you may need a lactaid before you jump on the wagon. I couldn’t handle more than one. I very much loved the frosted rim glasses with sprinkles. I’ve never seen that on a drink before and it really complimented the vanilla vodka well. Plus, you can dip your cookies right in the martini, like a grown up version of dipping your Oreo’s in milk although, it doesn’t taste quite the same. All told, these are a perfect sweet, boozy dessert for your post-holiday meal.

So does that mean I’m a booze Scrooge? Well, bah humbug.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. whole milk
  • 1/4 c.  Baileys Irish Cream. None of that Scottish garbage.
  • 2 oz. vanilla vodka
  • 2 oz. amaretto
  • Ice
  • 1/2 c.  vanilla frosting
  • Vanilla Ice
  • 1/4 c.  sprinkles, plus 1 tsp., divided
  • Pre-made sugar cookie dough

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll sugar cookie dough out to ¼” thick. Using a cookie cutter, cut out desired shapes then place cookies on prepared baking sheet. Bake until just set and lightly golden around the edges, 12 minutes. Let cool.
  2. Using an offset spatula, spread a thin layer of frosting onto rim of two martini glasses. Pour ¼ cup sprinkles onto a small plate then dip rims in sprinkles to coat. Use an offset to frost cookies with frosting then decorate with remaining 2 tablespoons sprinkles.
  3. In a cocktail shaker, combine milk, Baileys, vodka, and amaretto. Add ice and shake until cold. Pour into glasses and garnish rim with a cookie.
  4. Have all the Christmas feels.
