Manageability – Chopping and refreshing.
I don’t like gin. It’s too stanky, and the juniper berries are not enough to overcome the flavor of boozey booze-booze. It tastes like rubbing alcohol. And did you know it’s made with the runoff/leftovers from vodka? It’s the lowest of the still, and they tart it up with botanicals to make it tolerable. You can’t slap lipstick on a pig and tell me to drink it!
But Pimm’s is different, and this Classic Pimm’s Cup Cocktail by Aberdeen’s Kitchen is different. It’s so refreshing and light, just like other fruit cups that involve Pimm’s. This cocktail required a lot of chopping fruit, which – whatever. But the citrus from the lemon and soda, plus the sweet of the strawberry, the lightness of the cucumber, and the herbs in the Pimm’s were a party in a glass. And you gotta love the look of that Pimm’s bottle on your bar cart. Make this for a dapper, refreshing cocktail on a fall evening.
