Martha Stewart’s Russian Dressing

Manageability – It’s only one step.

If your corned beef sandwich is too good, you put sauerkraut on it. If the sauerkraut is too stanky, you put slap that swiss cheese on there. And then when you want to combine everything together with a smooth delicious sauce, you add Martha Stewart’s Russian Dressing. Then you eat a sandwich.

Fortunately for you, this dressing recipe is literally the easiest thing I’ve ever done. You combine the ingredients. That’s it. Honestly, I barely had enough room to add a joke to the steps below. So this is a quick and wonderful recipe, because it’s obviously a necessary ingredient to the classic Reuben. As for taste, Russian dressing is a very mild sauce. Mayo mixed with ketchup, with a bit of relish and lemon. The best part of it is that it helps mask the horrible taste of the sauerkraut. It looks like baby food, and um… let’s see, what else…

I don’t know. Russian dressing isn’t that exciting.

Ingredients

  •  1/2 cup mayonnaise
  •  2 tablespoons ketchup
  •  2 tablespoons pickle relish
  •  2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  •  1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
  •  1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together. Store, covered in refrigerator for up to a week. That’s it.
